SERVICES

Dr. M. Busnelli started as an independent consultant in 2022. With over 30 years of professional experience in hydrodynamics and morphology, I combine hands-on expertise with academic insight. After obtaining my Ph.D. in 2001 from the Technical University of Delft, I continued working with private companies in The Netherlands until 2022. My work spans major river and coastal systems in the Netherlands and internationally. As both a practitioner and a lecturer, I bridge the gap between real-world challenges and cutting-edge knowledge.

Offering project management and expert consultancy in the following areas:

  • Integrated Water Resource Management: Developing sustainable strategies in river basins and coastal areas.

  • Hydraulic Engineering: Designing and optimizing structures such as dams, levees, and channels to manage water flow and ensure safety.

  • Salt Intrusion: Analyzing and mitigating the effects of saltwater intrusion in rivers to protect freshwater resources.

  • Flood Protection and Control Works: Hydraulic structures, non-structural measures, and nature-inspired solutions, with a focus on restoration design.

  • Environmental Impact Assessments: Hydrodynamic and morphological analysis of measures such as dike relocation, floodplain lowering, and training works.

  • Dredging and Optimization: Planning and executing dredging operations to maintain navigable waterways, improve sediment management, and optimize costs while minimizing environmental impact.

  • Climate Adaptation Finance: As a certified expert in Climate Adaptation Finance from the Frankfurt School, I provide specialized knowledge on funding mechanisms to help projects and achieve sustainable, long-term success.

  • Training and Capacity Building: As a didactically qualified lecturer, I deliver tailored training and knowledge-sharing sessions, empowering organizations and individuals to build capacity and achieve lasting results.
